58 police officers under
refreshers course

June 19. Fifty-eight police officers drawn from 29 police stations of Mizoram participated in the
refresher training course in investigation and police station record
maintenance. The IG of Police Mr Lalchhunga, IPS had inaugurated the 15 day programme of the short
refresher course yesterday.
During the short course, refresher training in
investigation and record maintenance, the trainees will be given practical training in the Aizwal
Police Station. Each trainee is provided with a hand book of training material as a training
guide. The trainees at the end of the training will sit for a test and those securing over 75 per
cent marks will get a Commendation Certificate with cash rewards.
The DIG of Police, Mrs Kiran Bedi stated that the
training of police station officers will be a continuous process hereafter to improve the quality
of investigation as well as to ensure maintenance of proper records in police stations. Mrs Bedi
expressed the hope that this kind of training will substantially improve personal competence and
efficiency of police officers in Mizoram. |
